Jason Blake named as President and CEO of SERC


SERC Reliability Corporation (SERC) today announced the appointment of Jason Blake to the position President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective Nov. 15, 2018. Since 2010,

Blake has served as Vice President and General Counsel of ReliabilityFirst, a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission-approved Regional Entity responsible for ensuring the reliability of the Bulk-Power System across the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. “I have the utmost confidence that Jason will provide the superior level of leadership, management and vision required to take SERC to the next level in our mission of promoting effective and efficient administration of the bulk power system within our jurisdiction,” said Greg Ford, Chairman of the SERC Board of Directors. “Jason’s extensive experience and background will prove a tremendous asset for our members, our entities and more than 53 million customers who rely on SERC.”

Tom Linquist, Managing Partner of Lyceum Leadership Consulting, the search firm overseeing the CEO selection stated, “Our search encompassed a variety of industry segments including public power, investor owned utilities, and the electric reliability sector. Through a wellorchestrated, comprehensive, and member-inclusive process, the SERC Board of Directors selected an outstanding candidate in Jason Blake to lead a highly effective and efficient reliability entity.”
